2 The heavy lifting is done

God Has A Plan for You.

This is one of the most common things I hear;” I don’t know what my purpose is?”

The second one is;” I thought I was supposed to start a business, I prayed about it and told God what I was going to do, but it’s not working for me, why? I love what I do, I am good at what I do, but there is always more month than money. I work myself to the bone, but I never seem to get ahead.

God Has A Plan for You.

He wrote a manual for success for Life, in fact for eternity. If you follow His guidebook, do what He says and do what He did, you will succeed. And it starts like this…

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:1-5

What was the sequence of events there? God our Father had a thought, which produced a feeling in Him, that moved Him to action, and in an instant, He had a result.

Wow! Think about that for a moment. Let it truly sink in.

Thought, feeling, action, result.

He thought about His condition. How long? we don’t know.

He felt something about His condition! He wanted to share His love with others. He wanted to walk with others, share His bounty and have communion with others. He wanted a relationship.

That led Him to take action, to create the heavens and the earth, and eventually MANKIND – Adam.

His thoughts created results. Your thoughts lead to results.

Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. GNT Proverbs 4:23

We shape our thoughts through prayer

Or Robert Schuller always said; “Have a dream, make a scheme, build a team, and get to work.”

When we Act things Happen

God made us in His likeness, He is in us, and He gave us the same tools as He has, we now need to do what He does.

He created. He reached out. He loves.

If you do that in your life, what difference would that make?

He thought of us, He prepared a place for us, He reached out to us.

That leads me to believe that our first job is to reach out to Him with any decision we have to make. Before we do anything, reach out to Him and ask Him what He wants us to do By the way, this is not after we made the decision, not after we have started on our path, but before. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. Reach out to our Father, He will never lead us astray.

Does that mean that what we started is wrong or bad, no. But to get on the right footing, you can start from where you are now and see where He wants you to go from here. It is never too late.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God.

Matthew tells us in 6:33

Seek first the Kingdom. Then all things will be given you

And why would we do that?

So that we can be like Him, and please him, and bask in His Glory; because all things come from Him!

Romans 11:36 gives us:

For from him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.

But not only that, God has a purpose, He had a mission, and He has a mission for you.

We wander through life looking for purpose, for meaning, for our mission in life. It is in knowing what your purpose is, that you will succeed. You are not your job, you are to live out your purpose for the Glory of God. This purpose is bigger than you and He will not let it fail. It is through what you do that you will live your life to the fullest.

To live out our fullest we must reach out to Him through prayer and supplication. If not, we rely solely on our feelings and you can never trust your feelings. Your God given intuition yes, but not your feelings. Remember that we can feed our mind with false information and it will appear real. Many studies have proven that. Thought, then feeling, then action, then result.

We cannot have a feeling without thought, we can’t have a result without action, and we can’t have an action without thought. God gave us a brain and soul to think, to reach out, and to plan. Everything He did was to a plan.

T.D. Jakes preaches that; “If you don’t give a person a cause that is bigger than their feelings, they will always revert to their feelings. Whenever what is in front of you, is more important than what is behind you, you will always get away. It is not how well you fight, it is what you are fighting for that will sustain you and push you to succeed. “

How does God speak to us?

1.    He speaks through the Holy Bible – read the Bible every day, in every way, with an open heart and an open mind.

2.    Through His Holy Spirit – Be still and listen to Him. When He wants to talk to you He will.

In closing, I would like to reiterate – You are not your Job! You are not your business! You are a child beloved of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It is your purpose to be a light in the world. Your mission is to be salt in the world. It is through you and how you deal with your customers, how you do your craft, how you deal with the world around you that you will be known. People are to look at you and say there goes an exceptional human being. There goes a wonderful person. They will know you by your light and people will always go towards the light.

That is how to attract success. One last thing, ask your customers two questions every time you are done. “What did I do right for you?” and “What can I have done better?”; you will be amazed by what you learn.

God Bless.

Chuck Groot is an author, speaker, teacher. His love of God has spanned over 6 decades and he finds the more he studies the Bible, the less he knows, the more he succeeds the more dependant on God he becomes, and that there is nothing outside of loving God our Father and being loved in return.
